Geothermal

Geothermal resources provide the United States and the world with a clean, reliable source of energy. Geothermal energy can be converted to use through three kinds of technologies: power generation, direct use and geothermal heat pumps. Learn more about geothermal energy from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Additional resources can be found at the U.S. DOE Geothermal Technologies Program Web site. Also, be sure and review the other sections of the PRP website for more information on geothermal technologies and related subjects, such as the State Activities/Resources; the National Activities/Resources; Key Industry Contacts and Consumer Education.
